Nobody has ever made a documentary about what happens when middle lane / moderate drinkers take a break from alcohol. Not the people who depend on alcohol.

The people who are fine, but also wonder if their life might be better without it.

Going Dry follows six of them from the UK, Canada and the US, through a sixty to ninety day break, tracking their health stats to see how it impacts a body, a mind and a life. What happens during and after their break? Theirs is an extraordinary ride.

Alongside them, Andy Ramage travels the globe to meet the world's leading scientists and medical experts, and finds the whistleblowers who broke ranks to reveal what the alcohol industry is really up to.

Going Dry is produced by an award-winning team, alongside one of the leading voices in the alcohol-free movement. Between them, their work has earned an Academy Award nomination, an Emmy, and a bill passed through the US Congress. Their films have screened at international film festivals, with distribution through MGM, Sony, Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV+, Nat Geo and CBC.

Andy Ramage

Andy presents the film and coaches all six participants through their break. He has been alcohol free for over a decade.

Andy Ramage co-founded one of the world's largest alcohol-free challenge platforms, reaching over a million people. He's now considered one of the world's leading alcohol-free performance coaches and coined the term middle-lane drinker.

He is an author and speaker, a TEDx speaker, a lecturer at the PFA Business School, and holds an MSc with distinction in positive psychology and coaching psychology.

The premiere is not until January. Until then, there is the podcast.
